The water is an impossible shade of blue and the scale of the abyss below takes some getting used to. Out of the endless depth, a mother Humpback and her calf move past me with a quit power I’ve never witnessed, two giants suspended in silence. The kind of encounter that makes you feel grateful and incredibly small at the same time.
